Vacancy for full time Assistant Cafe Manager

Having opened our second café at Fulbourn Resource Centre we are looking for someone with catering experience to join our teams and help us move the Cafés forward continuing to create a safe, caring environments while serving simple, delicious food, making almost everything ourselves from scratch.
The candidate must be flexible to work at either The Brookfields or Fulbourn Hospital site but will mainly take responsibility for the Fulbourn site. This is a unique opportunity to not only progress your catering career but also to work on a care giving aspect be it to our volunteer work force or the customers we attract through our recovery work. You will take a supervisory role and be expected to respond to and support the activities taking place at Fulbourn.
Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is essential as is attention to detail in all aspects of the work be it presentation of our food or organisation of the café and storage of all food and equipment.
The role will involve the following
Job Type: Full time 37 hours per week There will initially be two trial shifts unpaid to see if you fit our criteria and we fit yours, following that there will be a months paid trial for the successful candidate.
Salary: From £11.42 per hour based on experience. With satisfactory performance this could become a salaried position.

- -food and drink production, storage and ordering
- -food hygiene and training systems
- -customer service, till and cashiering
- -cleaning and upkeep of café and equipment
- -staff welfare and training
